Paulie, you make an excellent point....After all, if I chose all of my teams based on the Red State/Blue State theory, I definitely would not be a (long-suffering) Eagles fan! I think it is safe to say that Philadelphia is one of the bluest of the blue in terms of cities; then again, can anyone think of a Northeastern urban area that isn't?

But since PA as a whole has been dubbed "Pennsylbama" due to its mostly conservative population (outside of Philly and Pittsburgh), I can safely cheer the Steelers onto victory....Lynn Swann deserves no less from a Pennsylvania native. I am only sorry I can't actually vote for him!
