Vince Dooley on Vandy

As a favor to Dan, who seems to have some posting problems, here is a recent e-mail message he wanted posted here:

Like most SEC coaches of his era, Vince Dooley was too polite to say that Vanderbilt was pathetic, so he told his players why they had one reason to fear the Dores that year (late 80's, the week before one of his great teams was preparing to play a woeful Vanderbilt team):

"Vandah-bilt is going to pose a great challenge for our team... they have one of the finest long snappahs in the countrih."

Dan adds: Yep, that long snapper's skill meant that a three step punter might be able to get the ball away with minor deflection, as opposed to a totally blocked punt bounding toward the VU goal line.
