Live Like You Were Dying...or Democrat!

Say it aint so, Tim! Just ran across this feature on Palm Tree Pundit: Seems Country Superstar (and one of my favorites) Tim McGraw, inspired by--- in his disappointing words -- "the best President we ever had," Bill Clinton, is planning to run for political office in Tennessee somewhere in the distant future.

Quoth Slick Willie of the late Tug's son in an interview with Esquire Magazine: "I think he's got it. The Democrats need candidates whom people can relate to in a personal way, people who understand their lives and their concerns and share their values. And I think that's something Tim can do without even pretending."

To which Palm Tree Pundit queries: "Because doing it while pretending is the usual way, isn't it?"

For Faith's sake, I hope Tim isn't planning to emulate all of his Presidential idol's deeds (Monica Lewinsky, anyone?). Granted, there's no contest between the exquisite Mrs. McGraw and the....well, not quite as camera-ready Mrs. Rodham-Clinton, but with precious few (if any) honorable accomplishments to draw from, it is a reasonable concern.

Let's hope Tim sticks to what he does best....or at least learns to live like a Republican before running for office!
