Ryan Franklin's glowing review

Bill Conlin is about as impressed as I am with RF; a small sample:

Apparently, what got Franklin suspended 10 games last season for violating major league baseball's former steroid policy must have been the wrong stuff.

After being thrilled with the Thome trade, I can't say that Pat Gillick has done much to impress me. Conlin's observations about the Phils are usually on target, so my skepticism, sadly, may be well-placed.
