The BK King, Grandpa Munster, and more

Bruce - You nailed it with the BK King-as-Steve-Young commercial - I still get a laugh every time I see it. Beats the heck out of the earlier one where the King wakes up in some guy's bed, patting his leg - that one creeped me out.

Al Lewis, RIP. Those potions he brewed in the basement of Herman and Lily's house had some kind of long-lasting negative impact on his brain, as he later ran for governor of New York as a Green Party candidate.

Mark - Are you leaving us guessing on the Seattle score? I am pulling for a 3-point Steeler victory, so I will construe your prediction as 23-20, unless you care to clarify it. I think it might go higher in scoring, perhaps 30-27. I am hoping it goes to OT!

PS: Blogger was flaky yesterday - I posted a link to a Phil Mushnick column about running up personal stats against outmanned opponents and how lousy a way to claim a record that is (this was instigated by Epiphanny Prince's 113 point performance in a high school basketball game, with her coach pressing the other team in the second half and ordering his team to give her the ball every chance they got). I found a link to an account of Johnny Heisman's Georgia Tech 222-0 win over Cumberland College. The post isn't showing up today, but I thought it had posted yesterday - did anyone else see it, or did it never really get posted?
